My Story
Growing up, I had no question about what my future would hold – finish education, meet a boy, get married and have two babies. That’s the background I grew up in, happily - why would my future look any different?
Now I’m technically ‘grown-up’ and low and behold; married, with two children.
My career has always been an important part of my self-identity and when I was fortunate enough to become a mum, that didn’t change.
What shifted however, was the reality of balancing a career AND being the mum I wanted to be. To put it simply, I found this immensely and increasingly challenging.
Whilst, on paper, I ‘have’ the future I just assumed I’d have, the path has been different from what I’d imagined. In the age where we’re bombarded with seemingly ‘perfect’ images and stories we can feel the need to ‘have it all’.
"Is it any wonder that it can seem impossible not to feel as though everyone else has it together apart from you?"
After some of my own curve balls, I had the opportunity to pause.
Did I want to keep on ‘surviving’ in this way – exhausted, short tempered, stressed with little to no energy left to be ‘present’ with my family at the weekends? No.
I decided to do something different. It was on a run (more on this to come) that the Kindness For Success philosophy came to me.

London Marathon! Running is a huge part of
'having MY all'.

My Ambition
Do you know what your ‘all’ looks like? I’d bet that almost every one of us has a deep rooted ‘sense’ of what our own ‘all’ looks like, though how many of us, if any, have stopped to give this the focused attention, care and planning (yes, planning!) it deserves?
This is your LIFE. You don’t need me to tell you that there’s only one; however, I can give you a timely, gentle nudge to extend yourself some kindness. Give yourself permission to move from frantic to fulfilled, to discover, define and take the necessary steps to have your all.
As working mums we're bombarded with messages about "having it all" – a successful career, perfect children, a spotless home and time for everything else life brings. The reality, of course is somewhat different.
"There are weeks where homemade lentil pies, model children and nailing that work presentation seem achievable and others where the proverbial 'spinning plates' come crashing down."
Whilst these very real pressures are certainly not ‘unique’ to mums, typically women tend to experience heightened self-talk, imposter syndrome and comparison to others which, as a result, serves to reinforce a negative, unsustainable cycle.
This constant striving to 'have it all' can feel like we're barely treading water and the days, weeks and months pass us by. We're far from fulfilled, we survive.
That's where Kindness For Success coaching comes in.
'MY All'.

The Kindness For Success Way
At the core, Kindness For Success* is about extending the same kindness to yourself we so readily offer others.
I mentioned that the name came to me on a run – a time when I often do my best thinking. Running is a huge part of how I extend my Self- Kindness and maintain my own mental wellbeing. A time and space where I can be ‘just me’.
‘Success’, isn't a one-size-fits-all definition – it's about discovering and living your own version of success, filled with meaning and value, rather than the empty pursuit of "having it all".
